William S. Beslow

Mr. Beslow is a graduate of Yale University (B.A. 1969), Columbia University School of Law (J.D. 1972), and New York University School of Law (LL.M. in Taxation 1977). He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1973 and the Bar of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York in 1977.

Mr. Beslow continues to concentrate his practice in the areas of matrimonial law and family law. His clients cover a wide range. Many of his clients or their spouses are in the areas of business, investment banking, asset management, and the law. Some are in films and other arts. Some work inside their homes, bearing primary responsibility for child rearing.

He has litigated matrimonial cases in jurisdictions outside New York and has been admitted pro hac vice to the Bars of California, Kentucky, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.



Nina T. Edelman

Ms. Edelman is a graduate of Dartmouth College (B.A. cum laude 2005) and Northwestern University School of Law (J.D. 2010).  She was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 2011.

During law school, Ms. Edelman served as a Senior Editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and externed for the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras, former Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.  In her third year, Ms. Edelman also worked for the Children and Family Justice Center at the Bluhm Legal Clinic.

After law school, Ms. Edelman joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as an associate in the Complex Commercial Litigation group.  There, she represented public and private companies in a wide variety of disputes in both state and federal court, as well as in arbitration.  During her time at Weil, Ms. Edelman also maintained an active pro bono practice, representing individuals in the areas of housing, immigration and special education.

Ms. Edelman joined the Law Office of William S. Beslow in September, 2014.



Stephen P.H. Rachlis

Mr. Rachlis specializes in commercial and products liability litigation and in drafting and negotiating contracts including purchase and sales agreements. Many of his clients are industrial equipment manufacturers, including Black Clawson Company, Inc. and United Container Machinery, Inc. He is a graduate of Beloit College and Case Western Reserve University School of Law.



Christian Votava

Mr. Votava is a graduate of University of Vienna Law School and Danube University in Krems (Degree in European Law). In May 2006, he also graduated cum laude from Fordham Law School with an LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law.

During his studies in Austria Mr. Votava has worked with the Austrian Patent Office, with a Viennese law firm, and with an Austrian IT-Service company. In 2000/2001 he participated in the European Law Moot Court for the University of Vienna, where his team ranked third overall. Thereafter, Mr.Votava was engaged in the creation of a comprehensive revision of a commentary on Austrian Commercial law.

Mr. Votava is a member of the American Foreign Law Association ("AFLA") and he is also co-author of EU State Aid Law Yearbook 2008, 2010 and 2013 published by NVW in Austria.



Lorenz Wolffers

Lorenz Wolffers is an experienced immigration lawyer whose practice is primarily focused on business immigration. Lorenz has assisted a wide array of companies in hiring foreign talent and transferring high level managers and specialists from all over the world to the United States. He has secured investor visas for both well-established companies, as well as start-ups. One of Lorenz’s specialties is procuring visas for individuals of extraordinary ability.

Lorenz is fluent in German and French. He graduated magna cumlaudefrom the University of Bern School of Law in Switzerland and earned his LLM from Cardozo Law School in New York City.
